Clik here to view.Seven & i Holdings, the Japanese retail corporation that owns the 7-Eleven convenience store chain, announced at the beginning of August that they have purchased Speedway, the convenience store chain previously owned by Marathon Petroleum Corporation. The $21 billion purchase is the largest in Seven $ i’s history. With this acquisition, Seven & i will take over the nearly 4,000 Speedway stores across the United States. This in addition to the nearly 9,800 stores they already own in the United States and Canada.
