Data Communication Solutions (DCS) attended the 2017 National Retail Federation (NRF) BIG Show at the Javits Convention Center in New York. The show hosted over 35,000 attendees, 510 exhibitors, and 118 sponsors all focusing on retail operations. DCS met with the major ERP vendors to discuss how best to integrate with them and provide EDI integration to assist in expanding the goal of broader omni-channel reach to retail customers.
DCS’ mission is to partner with retail integrators to provide the highest level of customer service possible. A hot topic at the show was the decline of brick-and-mortar retail stores due to the expanding presence of online shopping. Most suppliers, retailers, and vendors felt that those that adapted and changed with newer technology stood the best chance of survival in the face of competition from the likes of Amazon.
