Amazon has announced a future update to No Carton Content Labeling (No CCL) chargeback rates affecting their vendors. Amazon is increasing the No CCL chargeback from $5 per carton to $15 per carton. This applies to vendors that consistently have a compliance rate of 10% or less. Vendors with a compliance rate above 10% will still have a $5 per carton chargeback.
Amazon’s goal with this change is to drive label compliance and emphasize the importance of affixing functional labels to cartons. They have not released a date when the update will go into effect.
